On mobile so excuse any typos. Location: Indiana Bought a used Subaru wrx from a well known dealership in Indiana, in May of 2026. This was advertised as a certified pre owned vehicle and we were assured everything on the vehicle had been inspected before we purchased, including the clutch. A little over 30 days and less than 1000 miles it needed a new clutch, flywheel, and throw out bearing. This repair cost $3,000 dollars. The repair was denied by ford warranty as those components are "wear items" and not warrantied. We then went to the dealership and requested all of the paperwork from the purchase transaction. The clutch was not listed as an item they checked during the certification process. Also, the warranty states all wear items on not warranted, if replaced during the certification process, which again the clutch was not listed as and item check or serviced. In addition, we started going through all the paperwork and we noticed the odometer recordings were different on the different documents of the transaction. The odometer recorded on the purchase agreement was the same reading as listed on the car fax from when dealership orginally purchased the car back in March of 2026 and was at least 400 miles less from what we actually purchased it at. Location: South Carolina We reside in SC and hired a fencing contractor in NC to install a fence at our home. The company we hired is registered in NC and SC as well as other states due to being franchised. I am almost certain that the owners of the company we used in NC are the same as the company registered in SC. The owners are listed by name as well as an attorney as the registered agent on the Secretary of State in NC. However, on the Secretary of State in SC the registered agent is listed as Northwest Registered Agent LLC. I looked up Northwest Registered Agent LLC and it appears to just be a company that forwards mail/documents and uses their name/address to protect the privacy of business owners. We did meet with the sales representative at our home twice prior to signing the contract. The contract was signed in April at our home and forwarded electronically to the contractor in NC. In June the fence install took place at our home in SC. Should a complaint be filed in the SC county that we reside, signed the contract and work took place or should the complaint be filed in the NC county in which the business office is located? I am fine if I have to pay the Sheriff in NC to service papers to the office of the fencing contractor. We will be asking the court to issue a complete refund and rescind the contract…

Location: DJ lives in Indiana, wedding took place in Indiana, we live in Wisconsin. My now-wife signed a contract for a wedding DJ in 2023 for our summer 2024 wedding for $1000. $400 was due at signing, and was paid via Venmo. $600 was paid about a month before the wedding and was paid via credit card. We found him through a website that lists wedding vendors. On the morning of our wedding, we got an email from his email address claiming to be from his wife. "She" said that he had killed himself the night before, and was sorry but will get us a refund once she gets his finances in order. We thanked "her" for letting us know, and got phone quotes from 4 different local DJs to fill in for him last-minute. They were all around the same price, and we hired the cheapest one for $2200. We did not keep written record of the quotes, but I do have text message records from a friend saying that I would not need a DJ they suggested because his rate ($2500) was more expensive than one we found. I do have the phone call records proving I made these calls. The replacement DJ we got did a great job, and performed the same services we hired the original DJ to do.
