(Sorry if the flair is wrong) location: ohio I need help to figure out what i can do legally for my friend For the past six years i’ve (15f) had to watch my best friend (15f) deal with her alcoholic mom. Yesterday her mom attacked her for the first time and i don’t know what to do. For context her dad is out of the picture and she has two younger brothers to two different dads. The vehicle owner received a letter from a subrogation company representing Allstate requesting around $17,000 for damages and asking the BMV to suspend the driving privileges of both the driver and owner however the driver only has a permit. The letter claims the driver was responsible, but the police report does not clearly state fault. This appears to be a subrogation request, not a court judgment. What are the best next steps?
