I am also an adjunct professor at Carlow University teaching Masters of Science in Fraud and Forensice students criminal evidence and utilizing the National Fraud Examiners Handbook.  I am also the Vice Chair of the Taxation Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Family Law.. My background enables me to easily handle complex divorce and support cases, especially where closely-held family businesses are involved.   I have been hired by lawyers to be their outside consultant.  I have been qualified by the court to testify in court as an expert witness regarding the value of businesses and as to the income of a self-employed person.. Dennis joined Lowenthal in 1986 after serving under Attorney General Dick Thornburgh in the criminal environmental section.. Prior to joining Thornburgh, Dennis served with the Attorney General of West Virginia, beginning as an Assistant Attorney and working his way up to Deputy Attorney General. During his time with the Attorney General of West Virginia, Dennis created an environmental task-force funded with federal government tax dollars. At its peak his task-force had 8 attorneys which under Dennis’ watch wrote or rewrote most of the rules and regulations relating to the environment for the state of West Virginia. Dennis also implemented guidelines for aerial spraying of power-lines to protect communities from being negatively impacted by the chemicals utilized for spraying.
