Location: Pennsylvania. So, currently i am in a custody battle. The plaintiff of said custody battle has been held in contempt last year for a very similar situation, now this year, it’s essentially happened again but worse. This time there is absolutely no contact, and allegations of abuse. There is now a protective order in place where the plaintiff has no contact with the child due to the abuse allegations. However, the plaintiff is completely MIA and all we know is that they are in a shelter in a whole different state. We have a custody hearing set for the second week of September. The judge is aware that she is MIA, and allowed me to serve the plaintiff via email. Can the I (the petitioner in this matter of the PFA and the motion for emergency special relief) present the PFA in court? Should it be filed first? What is the process of showing the PFA in court? The plaintiff has not been served the PFA as they are dodging police etc. The plaintiff is actively on social media, reading messages/attempts to locate, viewing my story on Facebook(going as far to react to them) and actively bashing me about court on their social media. Which has been provided to the judge.

So this is a LONG story, any advice is greatly appreciated. I am going to trail on the 11th in Pennsylvania, I was served by my son’s absent grandmother. I’m a 24yo mom, My son is now 20mo. When he was 4mo his father passed away. I was there when the incident happened. I wanted a few hours to myself given I haven’t had anytime for me in 4 months, his father got mad and threw my purse which had my firearm (licensed to carry) and it discharged and shot him resulting in his death 4 days after the incident. I was investigated and tested for residue and was immediately ruled out of any foul play. Before his father’s passing, his grandmother (dad’s mother) never tried to build a relationship with my son. She would say hello at the door and go to her room. She watched my child on 2 occasions requested by his father days prior for about 2-3 hours both times. On the first occasion, we came back to their home and she complained how my son did nothing by cry for 3 hours and was not treating my child with any kind of patience. On the second babysitting, I took his father to meet with his PO and came back to her missing and my son left with her new boyfriend whom both me or his father barely knew. She never told either of us that she was leaving or left my child in the care…

Location: Pennsylvania My ex and I have been separated since September. We wanted to do an uncontested divorce since neither of us are interested in the assets or debts of the other. We've since realized that we need custody and support to be filed legally before we can do this. We both agree 100% on how finances should be handled and both want to do a 50/50 custody split and are on good terms. However, we would like the paperwork to be filled out and filed by someone who knows what they're doing. We had an appointment with a mediator who quoted us $6,000. We don't have anywhere near this kind of money and would need to max out our credit cards to cover it. It feels like we don't really need a "mediator" as we agree on all the terms and just want this done. Is there a service that I can talk to that takes our information and files it with the court? Thank you!
