Firm: The Law Offices of Timothy Kennedy
200 Lawrence Road , Broomall , Pennsylvania 19008
Practice Areas: Workers Compensation
Timothy Kennedy has been certified as a SPECIALIST in the practice of workers' compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Section on Workers' Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.. Mr. Kennedy obtained his law degree (Juris Doctor) in 1992 from Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey, where he had the very great honor of becoming a Law Review Editor, a distinction recognized by other lawyers as the mark of a truly ambitious and hard-working attorney. Tim was also a dean's list scholar and worked in the coveted position of research and writing assistant for the internationally known constitutional law expert who drafted the constitution of the Russian Republic in 1991 and forty other national constitutions world-wide. Tim also obtained perhaps the most impressive and immediate success of anyone in his law school class, securing a summer associate position with a large and prestigious Philadelphia firm after just his first year of legal study.. Graduating in 1992, Tim immediately took and passed the Pennsylvania Bar examination and was admitted to practice. By that time, he was no longer interested in leading or even joining the herd pursuing large firm practice. Instead, Tim was committed to representing injured individuals and creating great outcomes for folks who were injured at work only to see their rights abused and manipulated by insurance carriers and savvy employers. Tim set out to take on the insurance companies and slick operators, as an advisor and litigator fighting for individuals -- or better still, avoiding fights by arming his clients with superior knowledge of the "games" forever being attempted by workers compensation defendant employers and insurers who try to put protecting profits over doing right by their employees who suffer harm. For the past thirty-plus years, Tim has concentrated his practice on representing injured workers, persons who have suffered serious personal injuries, the families of those who have been killed under wrongful death circumstances and the survivors of persons who have died due to the effects of work-related injuries or illnesses. He knows the law and he knows the practice, with an astonishingly high success rate in getting the best possible results for his clients. Mr. Kennedy has established himself as a uniquely skilled and accomplished Pennsylvania workers compensation and personal injury attorney, appreciated by his clients, respected by his colleagues and feared by his adversaries. While his main office is in the Philadelphia suburbs, he is able to represent injured workers or their families throughout Pennsylania, where the practice of workers compensation has been largely "virtual" -- with hearings utilizing videoconferencing -- since the Covid pandemic.Rather uniquely, Tim's practice model focuses on maximizing the recovery for his clients, and very often employs the tactic of "stealth representation" -- where the emloyer and insurer need not know he is offering aid and advice to those with work injury claims, to get workers the benefits they need and deserve after a work injury. This allows him to exploit the missteps common among employers and insurers, to get workers on benefits and make those benefits binding and secure WITHOUT a fight in court, whenever possible. This can't be said of the "big billboard" workers compensation firms, with their legions of young, lesser-experienced attorneys, who want every claim to go immediately into court disputes so that their legal fee interests will be activated to pay for all the billboards. Mr. Kennedy, instead, favors strategic thinking and custom advice for each client's particular situation, playing thing out in ways that better benefit his clients. Decades of experience confirms that this will typically make the overall claim far more valuable, positioning his clients to be in control while boxing in employers and insurers within the confines of the law.. The Law Offices of Timothy Kennedy maintains a primary office on Lawrence Road in Broomall, Pennsylvania, convenient to the Blue Route and at the very center of the five county Philadelphia region. Mr. Kennedy also maintains regional satellite offices and meeting sites at business centers accessible to all of eastern Pennsylvania, for the convenience of the firm's many clients from York to Scranton, Reading to Harrisburg, and far beyond. He also makes himself directly and consistently available to his clients by phone and videoconference, for the kind of excellent communication that gets claimants the best results. As his wealth of enthusiastic reviews shows, Mr. Kennedy and his staff give their all in putting the firm's clients in control of their valuable rights, giving them options and ultimately providing fully satisfying outcomes for their work injury claims.. Tim is a family man, with a wife of thirty-two-plus years, two sons and a very sweet and loyal goldendoodle.

I began my professional employment as a state parole agent with the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole from 1976-1987. This involved supervising inmates released from state and local correctional institutions as well as inmates from other state correctional facilities. I also conducted arrests and prosecuted parole violations in county courts and in parole board administrative hearings.. I attended Temple law school at night from 1980-1984 while working as a parole agent. In 1987 I joined the Bucks County District Attorney's Office and served until 1995. I rose to Chief Deputy in charge of all drug inveatigations in the county. I prosecuted many high profile drug cases. During my 8 years in the office I tried numerous burglary, robbery and other felony cases. I tried DUI's and homicide by vehicle cases. Although I tried several murder cases my most notable case did not involve the death of a person. In 1995 I tried the case known as "Duke the Dalmation>" This involved 3 individuals who had tied a dog's mouth shut and allowed their pitbull to attack it. When the pitbull did not perform up to expectations thes individuals tortured and mulitated the dalmation. The case received national attention. People called me from all over the country.. In 1995 I joined the firm of Rubin,Glickman,Steinberg and Gifford and became a partner in 2000. I handle mostly criminal cases. I have defended people charged with all types of crimes. Everything from DUI and retail theft to murder, child abuse, sex crimes against adults and children, drug distribution, burglary, robbery and other felony and misdemeanor charges.. I also represent injured workers in Pa, Worker Compensation claims. I also have clients who have been injured in auto and other actions because of someone's negligence.. I am active in my community. I am a Delaware County native and graduate of Upper Darby High School. My work experience before becoming a lawyer, included working as a roofer for John T. Hieb in Drexel Hill; as a warehouseman for Food Fair in Philadelphia and as a Radio Communications Analyst Specialist for the United States Air Force at the National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Maryland. After the Air Force, I attended St. Joseph’s University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. I then attended Villanova Law School. During Law School, I interned for the Honorable Judge Charles Keeler, Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County. Upon graduating from Law School, I was employed as an attorney with the United States Department of Labor defending Black Lung cases and enforcing the Mine Safety and Health Act. I then entered private practice with a large Philadelphia law firm where my focus became toxic tort, personal injury and workers’ compensation litigation. Soon after, I was employed by Reliance Insurance Company as an attorney, where I obtained insight into the workings of insurance companies and how they handle workers’ compensation cases. This knowledge has been invaluable over the past almost twenty years as I have exclusively represented injured workers in the southeastern counties of Pennsylvania. The Law Offices of William M. Bendon in Media currently handles workers’ compensation, personal injury and Social Security cases.

Quatrini Rafferty PC , Greensburg , Pennsylvania 15601
Practice Areas: Workers Compensation
Vincent J. Quatrini, Jr. is a founding partner at the firm and serves as managing partner. He concentrates his practice in the area of workers’ compensation and the representation of injured workers exclusively.. Mr. Quatrini has more than 38 years of experience in state and federal courts and has served as counsel in prominent cases.. In 1986, Mr. Quatrini successfully argued to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, in the case of Gilliland v. Heckler, that the administrative law judge in a Social Security disability claim must give considerable weight to the opinions of a treating physician.. In 1987, in the case of Pawlosky v. WCAB (Latrobe Brewing Co.), one of the most widely cited workers’ compensation cases in Pennsylvania, Mr. Quatrini convinced the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to dramatically redefine the term "injury" under the Workers’ Compensation Act; namely, any disease which constitutes an insult to the body as well as any work-related aggravation of a non-occupational disease are considered injuries.. In 1988, in the case of Camaione v. Boro of Latrobe, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court adopted Mr. Quatrini’s argument and spelled out the rule that all injured workers being paid under the Heart and Lung Act are entitled to a hearing in order to determine eligibility, and furthermore, that a injured worker’s disability status cannot be changed from temporary to permanent unless a due process hearing is conducted.. In 2002, in the case of McIlvaine v. WCAB (States), Mr. Quatrini persuaded the Pennsylvania Supreme Court that an over-the-road truck driver who was injured while passing through Pennsylvania was covered by the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act for that injury. The company had argued that the trucking company was headquartered in another state and that the injured worker had to use the workers’ compensation policy from the other state. As a result of this decision, any individual who is hurt while working in Pennsylvania - no matter what state that person lives in or in what state that person was hired - has the protection of the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act.. In 2004, in the case of Coleman v. WCAB (Indiana Hospital), another workers’ compensation case handled by Mr. Quatrini, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court held that an independent medical examination could include a diagnostic test only if the test did not involve more than a minimal risk and was not unreasonably intrusive.. Mr. Quatrini has contributed to the professional advancement of Workers’ Compensation law in many ways:. Mr. Quatrini has volunteered his time to numerous endeavors for the legal profession and has been recognized for his accomplishments:. Mr. Quatrini has devoted considerable energy and time to the philanthropic community:. Mr. Quatrini received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from St. Vincent College in 1971, and his Doctorate of Law from Duquesne University in 1974. He is a lifelong resident of the Latrobe-Greensburg area and is married to Patricia Cecchini, a nursing instructor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He and Patricia have two sons, Michael, an associate at QuatriniRafferty, and Adam, a law student at Duquesne Law School.
