Mr. Adkins spent ten years on active duty where he acheived success in garrison and while deployed. He earned a Bronze Star while deployed to Iraq in 2007, and became a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army in 2010. After a successful tour as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson South Carolina, he was selected to be an instructor at THE United States Army Drill Sergeant Academy where he mentored and trained future Drill Sergeants for the remainder of his time in service. Mr. Adkins left the service to pursue his passion for the law, and graduated in 2 1/2 years from the South Carolina School of Law. He is licensed in the state of South Carolina, in the federal district court of South Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He has been married for 13 years to his wife Bobbie, and they have three children. The Adkins family chose Beaufort, SC to settle down and raise a family. Mr. Adkins now serves the military community all across the country as well as practicing criminal defense in the lowcountry of South Carolina. He has already served as defense and witness counsel in multiple Courts-Martial, in addition to his regular civilian defense practice. Handling cases as small as simple possession and as large as attempted murder, Mr. Adkins puts his attention to detail and commitment to Constitutional values into his work for the military and civilian communities every day.
