Jakki A. Hansen grew up in East Texas and attended Texas A&M University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994. Ms. Hansen was recruited by a client, Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County. Ms. Hansen worked at METRO and was promoted to Deputy General Counsel. During her seven years at METRO Ms. Hansen gained significant experience in administrative law, transactional and contract law, employment law, civil rights law, personal injury litigation, and governmental law.. Ms. Hansen is admitted to practice in federal and state courts, as well as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. She has tried over 50 cases to a jury verdict as first chair (primary counsel), and has handled appeals in both state and federal court.
