I recently started working at a privately owned pet store that specializes in a specific type of animal. The animals are taken care of, but the employees are not. I tell him that he can find plenty of first aid kits on Amazon (I also was not shown where the "firstaid kit" was, having to find it myself). Location: Texas Hi all. I am currently pregnant. Earlier this year, my coworker went out on maternity leave. She was allowed to work two weeks from home before her leave began and did not have to go through HR. She did have a high risk pregnancy, and I have the same diagnosis. When I spoke to my boss about also wanting to work from home for two weeks before my leave, I was denied unless I could provide a doctor’s note. I did, and now have to provide a daily, detailed task list along with an Accommodation Request Form filled out by me and a Medical Inquiry Form filled out by my doctor. My coworker did not have to do any of this. I would also like to add that another coworker was allowed to work two weeks from home before her maternity leave last year and did not have a high risk pregnancy, and also did not have to go through HR. Is there a way, legally, that I could deny this process as it has been unfairly enforced upon myself? Edit to add: We have the same job title and manager. Sorry about that! Location: Texas, USA I recently quit my job as a delivery driver for a small medical supply company in Texas. I gave two weeks notice and worked through my last day without any issues.
