Rob Sussman is a sole practitioner at Sussman PLLC.  He focuses his practice on federal and state criminal defense and family law, as well as employment and civil rights litigation.  He is listed in SuperLawyers Magazine and the National Advocates Top 100 Lawyers, and is rated a 10 on , the highest rating possible.  He has practiced since 1990, including periods spent in Miami, Florida, and Washington, D.C.  As a criminal defense lawyer, Rob has been lead counsel in well over sixty jury trials, ranging from DUI to murder.  He has also appealed multiple cases to the Vermont Supreme Court.  He has practiced in Vermont since 2007 and has litigated cases in every county in the state.  He currently holds one of seven serious felony contracts with the Vermont Office of the Defender General.  In that role, he has been lead counsel in some of the most widely publicized cases in the state.. Rob graduated from Amherst College (cum laude) and the University of Michigan Law School. He has been an adjunct law professor at American University in Washington, D.C. and St. Thomas Law School in Miami, Florida. He is currently a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the Vermont Association of Justice.  He is a former president and a current board member of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  He was also on the Colchester, Vermont, Town Planning Commission.

William is a trial attorney, with a focus on criminal defense including DUI/DWI, personal injury cases, and family law. William also has criminal and civil appellate experience in several of Ohio’s intermediate courts of appeal, the Vermont Supreme Court, and he plans on expanding this area of his practice to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.. William joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in August of 2019. Prior to joining the firm, William owned and operated his own firm and was also a partner in one of northeast Ohio’s preeminent criminal defense firms. William has served as lead or co-counsel in multiple criminal jury trials, numerous criminal and civil appeals, and countless pretrial motion hearings, as well as family court bench trials. William is also a graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer’s College, where he spent a month in Dubois, Wyoming refining and improving his trial lawyer skills.
