I was raised in the woods and water of Calvert County, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay. My parents taught me at a young age that everything in life is about trust and relationships. Be honest, do your best to help people, and always believe in what you do.. At age 14, my parents sent me to work for his grandfather’s marine mechanic business to “build character.” Hauling toolboxes in the summer heat on the docks of the Waterfront in Washington, D.C. did indeed build character, and I develop a strong work ethic as a result. I learned that there is pride in doing even the “dirtiest” jobs and satisfaction in honest pay for honest work.. I became fascinated with courts and the world of law in elementary school, where I would rush home every day to watch the O.J. Simpson trial on TV with my dad. I saw early on how powerful good advocacy can be. I carried this passion for advocacy through to the high school mock trial team and eventually to the George Mason University School of Law, where I graduated with honors.. Out of law school, I worked in private practice in northern Virginia. Excited to help anyone who needed a good advocate, I have handled a wide range of legal matters. From jury trials to local zoning board meetings and appeals to the Supreme Court of Virginia, my passion for advocacy has taken me anywhere that my clients need me to go!. I live in Herndon, Virginia and am huge a film buff. I enjoy discovering hidden gem movies, both old and new. I am always be happy to talk to you about what you have seen recently or some old favorites you revisit again and again.

The critical importance of fathers is not lost on Falls Church divorce attorney Whitney M. Bolton. Her belief in the value of having two active and engaged parents in children’s lives is what has steered her career toward family law.. “I steadfastly believe that children thrive best when they have equal time with both parents, and well-adjusted children give back to society as a whole,” Ms. Bolton said. “I enjoy helping parents ensure that they have an active role in their children’s lives.”. In the courtroom, Ms. Bolton is tenacious, as she fights for the rights of her clients and to protect what is most important to them.. More than that, she is committed to walking with them through each step of this difficult process. Divorce can be a traumatic experience that leaves many unsure about what lies ahead, but Ms. Bolton is dedicated to ensuring they have a trusted partner in their corner they can count on.. “I will listen to you and endeavor to truly hear your concerns so that I can address them,” she said.
