Joseph M. Kirchgessner, a Fredericksburg area native, joined the team at Woehrle Dahlberg Jones Yao PLLC in the Spring of 2015.. I grew up in Virginia Beach and graduated from Kempsville High School.  I attended Old Dominion University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.   From there I decided to stay at Old Dominion University and work on my Master's Degree in Urban Studies & Planning because I was interested in how government could make people's lives better through adaptive reuse and redevelopment.. Upon obtaining my Master's Degree in Urban Studies & Planning I went to work for the City of Williamsburg as a Zoning Officer and helped the city manage a huge growth in real estate development in the late 1990's.. While working at the court I met many attorney's and members of the community and upon completion of my clerkship I entered private practice..
