I have practiced law for over 30 years, and have been working in Wenatchee since 1986. East Wenatchee was my home growing up and I returned to practice law after beginning my career with a brief stint in Yakima. Living in the Wenatchee Valley allows me to take advantage of the outdoor recreational opportunities that I love, particulary boating, fishing, and camping, and to be near my extended family. I am a huge fan of Wenatchee's junior hockey team, the Wenatchee Wild, and I generally enjoy most sports. I also enjoy playing poker, which contrary to many people's opinion is a game of skill rather than luck. I just wish I had more skill.. I am married to a wonderful woman who is also a product of Wenatchee, and have two adult children. After my daughter graduated from my alma mater, WSU, she became a teacher and has returned to teach in East Wenatchee, and my son lives here too so we get to see a lot of them both.

Location: Seattle, Washington Hello, I have been waiting for my disability application to get reviewed, which is in about a month or 2. Application filed for epilepsy, been having up to 2 convulsive set of seizures at least once a month, with medication not working. I have been beyond struggling financially. I have expired my Paid Family Medical Leave, and my request for extension, for a backpay of one month, will not be done for a few weeks at best. I have a father with cancer to care for. I am considering filing for unemployment and to return to work if I do get hired. Family needs the finances badly. My question: disability has a trial period of 9 months if approved to see how the disability affects my work abilities. I am aware that filing for unemployment and getting a job CAN contradict this application. Not always though. Will this affect my 9 month trial period if I am approved at all? I hoping the fact I am caring for my father, will help my case. Just need to plan hard for future months financially. Thank you for any reply

Location: Washington Hi everyone. Less than 5 years ago a neighbor moved in. They have several people living in the house already. The parking area in front of their garage is small and accommodates maybe 6 cars if you squeeze them together. It can fit more if they park on the front yard grass. Over the years they added 2 RVs which they park on the side of their house in the backyard. Problem is these people have taken it as “well we can’t fit all cars on our property, great let’s park on the shared easement and to the right of it!”. They let their visitors park their 6-7 cars on the easement and block us from accessing our garage or using the easement. Their excuse is they own half the easement so they can park on it. They are confrontational people and will start getting pissed and film you for even bringing up the issue. Police and the city say it’s private property therefore it’s a civil matter. We talked to a lawyer years ago and they said they would need to send them a letter which was like 1k. We didn’t have the money for it so didn’t pursue it. Is there anything else we can do? Or is a lawyer the only way? I’m not sure how to add a photo to explain the layout. I thought about reporting their RVs for code violation but that’s not the issue I just want them to stop blocking…

So I was in a car accident in location: Puyallup, Washington a couple of months ago. I am fully at fault for this accident as I rear ended the other vehicle. My truck was totaled, and I’m sure her car was as well. Let me make very clear that I was not under the influence of any type of substance and that it was a total unintentional and unfortunate accident. But instead of doing any negotiation with my insurance company ( I have USAA) she got greedy and went straight for a lawsuit. I’m convinced she only had minor injuries such as whiplash and possibly a concussion. I think she is trying to go after my husband’s assets as he is the one who owns everything, the cars, the house and he makes way more than I do. What can I do to protect his stuff? I just work a minimum wage retail job. Her and her lawyer have been playing games, stupid stuff like trying to send a process server while my daughter was home alone, refusing to communicate, such stuff as that. Location: Washington So, I work in a warehouse/department store. I'm 20, and this is my first job ever (aside from a small office job I had for the last month of summer like years ago). Last night, I was working in the overhead and trying to lift a heavy box out of a stack of metal wheelbarrow baskets. Everything ended up slipping and falling onto me, hitting me in the forehead. The doctors tell me I have a concussion, but there's one detail I told them that I can't remember happening now. I told them that after the baskets fell, I stumbled backward into a reach truck and hit my head on it. I remember it vividly in the moment and was telling everyone who asked about it, but now I can't remember it happening. I don't even feel pain in the back of my head. My partner says it probably did happen and it's just the concussion affecting me, but I am so scared that I gave the wrong information. I seriously can't remember it. I don't even see or feel a mark. Location: Washington State, USA I recently began receiving documentation stating there have been multiple reports by a neighbor stating I am “smoking marijuana inside of my apartment”. I have never smoked inside of my apartment and feel completely blindsided by this situation. It has been publicly displayed to my neighbors that I’m smoking marijuana in my apartment and I have been subjected to fees due to these reports as well as threatened with eviction if I do not stop smoking in my apartment. It has been made clear to me that there are “numerous” reports of this that are being filed almost daily. I am almost certain it’s my upstairs neighbors based on the way they interact with me, but cannot prove that since my property management is not able to disclose who makes the reports. This began about 2 weeks ago when I came home to the no-smoking policy taped to my door. I saw this and didn’t think anything of it since it was on all of my neighbors doors and I knew I was not in violation of this policy. Last Friday, my maintenance worker knocked on my door and rang my doorbell at 9pm while I was cooking dinner to deliver the message that they had gotten reports that my apartment smelled “strongly of marijuana”.
