Hello! Before we go any further, let me first say that I'm sorry you are in the situation where you are looking for legal help. I hope wherever your search takes you, that you find the help you are looking for.. In today's legal profession, most attorneys have a specialty or a small group of specialties -- the days of the "general practitioner" have largely disappeared, not unlike what we all experience when we go to the doctor. My practice is limited to representing workers who have been hurt or become sick due to their work. Representing workers has been my only job since the fall of 2002. Prior to that, I was an Assistant Attorney General representing the Department of Labor & Industries, and for a couple of years, I was in private practice representing hospitals and health care workers.. There are many terms people use to describe the types of cases I help people with: "workers' comp" or "workers' compensation;" "L and I;" "Labor & Industry" are a few examples. If you think you have been injured at work, or become sick due to conditions at work, feel free to reach out to me and we'll see if I can answer any of your questions, point you in the right direction, and/or explore whether it is time for you to consider hiring legal representation. Even if I am not able to represent you, I am happy to try to provide you with resources and referrals that will hopefully be useful to you and/or your loved ones.. If you are curious about my personal background, I was born and raised north of Seattle, and stayed in Washington State until my husband and I moved to Chicago in the mid-1990s so I could go to law school. We came back home after I graduated, and we've been so blessed to live in Seattle since our return in 1999. My husband, an Ellensburg native, and I have two kids who both headed south to the Bay Area for college after being stuck too long in their bedrooms during COVID. One is in San Francisco, the other in Santa Clara/San Jose. Like most families, our kids' passions continue dictate much of how we spend our time. Our daughter is an equestrian in the hunter/jumper disciplines. A couple of years ago, she and I also adopted a rescue mare who we adore and continue to work with to bring her comfort, new skills & jobs, and security. My daughter also loves to help produce live preformances just returned from a semester abroad in Copenhagen. I love to quilt and do other handwork and treasure a nap or two on weekends. My son is a freshman in college, the along with his dad/my husband the travel around the US and Canada racing RC Cars ridiculously fast. He's also taken a shine to baseball in recent years and loves to hear our stories about the 1995 Mariner's playoff run. My husband works in telecommunications and we live with our 2 poodle-mixes in Seattle in a home we purchased from my husband's great-great-aunt who bought the house with her husband new in the 1950s.. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you think I might be able to help.. Take care,KLM

Jordan Couch is a dedicated advocate for those in need. His commitment to helping people both in and out of the courtroom is what brought him to Palace Law.. Jordan grew up in the prairie land of eastern Montana. After high school he moved to Maryland where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College. From there he travelled to Indiana and graduated from Indiana University’s Maurer School of Law where he was awarded membership in the Order of Barristers. While in law school Jordan worked for NASA and clerked for judges in the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Washington. He also managed and litigated cases for a pro bono organization that provided assistance to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Through each of these roles he gained valuable experience in a wide array of legal fields and honed his skills as a courtroom advocate.. Jordan moved to Washington in June of 2015 and put his skills and experience to use helping injured workers. He knows his way around the complex legal system and enjoys working with his clients to help them obtain the benefits they deserve.. Outside of the office, Jordan is heavily involved in the legal community. He can frequently be found at the University of Washington School of Law or the Seattle University School of Law donating his time to teach advocacy to the next generation of lawyers.. In his free time, Jordan is usually outside. You might see him at a concert or in the wilderness, hiking, fishing, skiing, and diving his way through life.

I am native Washingtonian, who grew up in Seattle. In 1994 I earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Washington, one in Political Science and the other in Speech Communication. I began working with David Vail & Associates in 1997 as an intern and was hired on as an associate attorney in 1998. I specialize in L&I (Workers Compensation) cases as well as personal injury cases. I personally attend to the offices located in Wenatchee and in the Seattle area (including Tacoma to Bellingham, and even out to the Olympic penninsula), and travel throughout this region when required and my clients cannot come to one of our offices. Firm wide, the Calbom & Schwab Law Group maintains its primary office in Moses Lake, with satellite offices in Wenatchee, Kennewick, Walla Walla, and Seattle. I am available to meet at locations not serviced by one of our offices at your convenience. I understand that you may not be able to travel to one of our offices because of your disability.. In my view, the practice of law is partly the art of connecting with people, understanding how to best advance their legal interests in a personal way. Preparing for the practice of law began with a two year residency in San Juan, Puerto Rico where I went to learn Spanish. Since then, I have devoted myself to protecting and defending the legal rights of those who have been wrongfully denied benefits through the Worker's Compensation system, or the Social Security Disability and SSI system. Being able to speak to my Spanish speaking only clients without an interpreter has always facilitated my relationship with those clients who cannot speak English in a way that I also enjoy with my English speaking clients. No interpreter is a substitute for the one-on-one personal connection that comes in speaking with someone directly. When not working in one of our offices across the State of Washington, I enjoy doing some pro bono work through the Latina/o Bar Assn of Washington and their work at El Centro de la Raza in Seattle. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, or playing guitar. And like any parent, my children are my greatest joy and gift in life.

Jane Dale | ATTORNEY, Causey Wright. Jane attended the University of Washington, where she majored in Business, with an emphasis in Finance, and minored in Political Science. She then went on to attend law school at Seattle University where she was a Moot Court participant and an editor for a law periodical. Jane graduated, cum laude, with her juris doctorate in 2007.. Jane represents injured or disabled workers with claims before the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. In her daily practice, Jane fights for the treatment and benefits to which her clients are entitled, going up against the Department of Labor and Industries, self-insured employers and retrospective rating group employers administratively and, when necessary, in litigation before the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and at the superior court level. Jane is a tenacious advocate for her clients, whether she is arguing her point to a claims manager or presenting her case to a judge or jury.. In her prior practice, Jane focused on felony and misdemeanor criminal cases, a variety of family law cases, some civil cases and even the occasional tribal jurisdiction case. Jane also worked as a public defender before entering private practice. This variety of courtroom experience gives her a strong footing in her current workers’ compensation practice.. Jane is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ), where she has served as Vice Chair (2019-2020) and Chair (2021-2022) of the Workers’ Compensation Section and acts as co-chair of WSAJ’s annual workers’ compensation seminars. Jane is also a member of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), a national non-profit organization dedicated to representing the interests of injured workers and their families.. Jane has been named a Top Women Lawyer by Seattle Met Magazine every year since 2016. Jane was labeled a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine in 2010 and again since 2016. We hope this trend continues until she reaches the age where she is eligible to be rated as a Super Lawyer. Jane is admitted to both the Washington State Bar as well as the federal court, Western District of Washington..
