Taylor B. Downs graduated from the WVU College of Law in 2011 and began practicing law with the Manchin Injury Law Group in September 2011. While in law school, Taylor was a member of the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board, drafted and introduced HB3015, the Healthy and Safe Workplace Act, in the West Virginia House of Delegates, successfully competed in appellate advocacy competitions in Morgantown, WV, and New York City, NY, organized the inaugural National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition at the WVU College of Law, was president of the Democratic Law Caucus, and was honored by the WVU College of Law as a student of academic excellence. Additionally, Taylor was involved in the College of Law’s Legal Clinic, where he helped clients with little means have access to justice. Timothy J. Travis was born and raised in West Virginia. He grew up in Lumberport, a small town just north of Clarksburg in Harrison County. Travis is part of the fourth generation of his family to be raised in this small West Virginia coal mining community where his grandfather told stories of living in a company town while working in the Laura Lee coal mine.
