Section 29-2-271 Creation; Recommendations
Official statutory text
The Permanent Joint Legislative Committee on Energy Policy is created for the purpose of recommending to the Governor and the Legislature courses of action to address the state’s long-term and short-term energy challenges. The recommendation shall include, without limitation, recommendations relating to oil and gas production and future oil and gas development that are found both onshore and offshore in Alabama, as well as renewable and alternative energy sources.
