Interdepartmental cooperation and assistance

(a) The Department of Finance and Administration shall cooperate with and assist the Office of Economic and Tax Policy in carrying out its responsibilities by providing: (1) The office with such nonconfidential tax information as may be requested by the office; and (2) Such other assistance to the office as may be requested. (b) (1) Other state agencies shall cooperate with and assist the office in carrying out its duties, including, without limitation: (A) Review and analysis of cost-benefit studies; (B) Fiscal impact statements; and (C) Other fiscal analyses as requested by the office. (2) State agencies shall provide assistance to the office as requested. (c) The state-supported institutions of higher education shall: (1) Cooperate with and assist the office in carrying out its duties; and (2) Provide support and advice to the Joint Committee on Economic and Tax Policy in determining the economic policy and revenue forecast of the State of Arkansas. (d) (1) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education shall cooperate with and assist the office in carrying out its responsibilities by providing: (A) The office with information requested by the office; and (B) Assistance to the office as requested. (2) The division shall provide the office with any information regarding changes in the calculation of state aid to public school districts within seven (7) working days of a change. (e) The Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Arkansas Development Finance Authority shall cooperate with and assist the office in carrying out its responsibilities by providing: (1) The office with information requested by the office; and (2) Assistance to the office as requested.
