Cooperation with program

(a) The State Board of Education, the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education, and the public schools of Arkansas shall: (1) Cooperate with the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Division of Higher Education, and the institutions of higher education in providing the information; and (2) Assist as requested by the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board. (b) Individual schools shall make special efforts to ensure that as many students and parents or guardians as possible are made aware of the opportunity to receive information, are urged to attend the counseling sessions, and are in receipt of the information packages. (c) Businesses and industries in Arkansas are hereby requested to provide the opportunity to their employees with children in the eighth grade in public schools in Arkansas to attend the counseling sessions and to cooperate with institutions of higher education in presenting at the work site small group and one-on-one counseling on courses that are required for postsecondary education and postsecondary options and financial requirements and assistance available for postsecondary education.
