Official statutory text

The county board of education of each county may select a member or members of the board to attend meetings of any society, association, or organization for which the board has subscribed for membership, or any convention to which the governing board of a school district or a community college district may pay the expenses of any employee. The actual expenses of the member or members shall be allowed and paid out of the county general fund with prior budgetary approval.
