Official statutory text
(a) For projects funded under this chapter, the following state agencies are deemed not to be the lead agency for the purposes of the California Environmental Quality Act (Division 13 (commencing with Section 21000) of the Public Resources Code):
(1) The board.
(2) The Department of General Services.
(3) The Office of the State Architect.
(4) The Office of Public School Construction.
(5) The State Department of Education, except as appropriate for projects relating to the California School for the Deaf and the California School for the Blind.
(b) This section is declaratory of existing law.
