Official statutory text

The board of museum trustees shall administer any trust declared or created for the museum, and receive by gift, devise, or bequest, and hold in trust or otherwise, property situated in this state or elsewhere, and where not otherwise provided, dispose of the property for the benefit of the museum.

Any funds from private sources which are used for the support of any public museum established pursuant to this chapter shall be deposited in a special fund in the county treasury of the county in which the public museum is located. Such fund shall be under the control of and administered by the board of museum trustees.
