Official statutory text

Until the election and qualification of the first elected board, the members of the board in office on January 1, 1974, shall remain in office, shall receive the compensation and expenses prescribed in this part for the office, and shall be the governing body of the district. The term of office of the nonelected board shall end at noon on November 29, 1974.
