Official statutory text

(a) The director and the Director of Health Care Services shall implement a comprehensive program for the simplification of administration of the Aid to Families with Dependent Children, Medi-Cal, and CalFresh programs, which shall include the elements identified in Section 10841. The director shall prepare appropriate amendments in the state plan for these programs and waiver requests of federal requirements that are necessary for the implementation of this chapter.

(b) The director and the Director of Health Care Services shall, by formal order, waive the enforcement of those regulations and standards necessary to implement the project with federal approval, in order to implement the demonstration project.
