Official statutory text
If an applicant for, or recipient of, benefits pursuant to this chapter receives one or more educational loans or grants, for purposes of determining availability of income, that person’s educational expenses shall not be applied to any educational loans or grants which, under federal or state law, are totally exempt from consideration as income for purposes of determining eligibility for benefits under this chapter.
