Official statutory text

In complying with Section 10353 of the Public Contract Code, a contractor shall give priority consideration to qualified recipients of aid under this chapter. For purposes of this article, priority consideration means that a contractor shall hire all qualified job applicants who are recipients of aid under this chapter and who apply within five working days of the listing of the job opening with the Employment Development Department, before hiring any other applicant.
