Official statutory text

Consistent with the authority of the State Department of State Hospitals to maintain and operate state hospitals under its jurisdiction, the State Department of State Hospitals shall provide internal security for the patient population at Patton State Hospital. The State Department of State Hospitals may employ hospital police at Patton State Hospital for this purpose.

This section is not intended to increase or decrease the duties and responsibilities of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at Patton State Hospital.
