Land conveyances, preparation, signing, record, copies.

Official statutory text

Except for the preparation and execution of leases and licenses and the issuance of revocable permits and rights of entry by the department of transportation, in its harbor and airport functions, all land patents, deeds, leases, grants, or other conveyances of any public land or any interest therein, shall be prepared by the department of land and natural resources. The department of transportation shall, within thirty days after the execution or issuance of such documents, file or record as directed by the board of land and natural resources the original of the same with the board.

Documents setting aside lands for public purposes or withdrawing the same shall be signed by the governor. All other documents prepared by the department of land and natural resources shall be signed by its chairperson or any authorized employee.

The board shall keep a complete record of all such documents. The record shall be open to public inspection and the board shall furnish a certified copy, under its official seal, of any document to any person applying therefor, upon payment of reasonable charges set by the board for certified copies.
