§ 27-2-9.1. Administration of shelter care supplement

Official statutory text

A. A shelter care supplement shall be provided to those individuals who are recipients of supplemental security income under Title 16 of the federal Social Security Act 1 and who reside in shelter care homes licensed pursuant to regulations of the health and environment department [department of health].

B. The human services [health care authority] department is authorized to determine eligibility, compute payment, make payments and otherwise administer the shelter care supplement program.

C. The amount of the shelter care supplement payment shall be established by the secretary of human services subject to the availability of general funds.
