§ 3-1-3. Municipalities; name; prohibiting the use of name of another municipality

Official statutory text

Any municipality may be known as the:

A. “city of ․․․․․․․”;

B. “town of ․․․․․․․”; or

C. “village of ․․․․․․․”; but no municipality which changes its name or incorporates shall adopt the name of an existing municipality.
