§ 189. Method of sale of commodities generally. All commodities, the\nmethod of sale of which is not prescribed by this chapter, shall be\nsold, or offered or exposed for sale by net weight, standard measure or\nnumerical count pursuant to regulations promulgated by the commissioner.\nSuch regulations may prescribe the method of sale for specific\ncommodities or categories of commodities and may authorize a method of\nsale other than those prescribed in this section whenever the\ncommissioner finds that such other method is appropriate and consistent\nwith the interests of consumers.\n
