§ 294. Rules and regulations; enforcement. 1. The commissioner may\nmake and promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to\neffectuate the provisions and intent of this article and to enforce the\nprovision of any marketing agreement or order, all of which shall have\nthe force and effect of law.\n 2. The commissioner may institute such action at law or in equity as\nmay appear necessary to enforce compliance with any provision of this\narticle, or any rule or regulation, marketing agreement or order,\ncommitted to the commissioner's administration, and in addition to any\nother remedy under article three of this chapter or otherwise may apply\nfor relief by injunction if necessary to protect the public interest\nwithout being compelled to allege or prove that an adequate remedy at\nlaw does not exist. Such application may be made to the supreme court in\nany district or county as provided in the civil practice law and rules,\nor to the supreme court in the third judicial district.\n
