§ 55-0101. Declaration of policy.\n It is declared to be the public policy of this state to provide funds\nfor the preparation and implementation of groundwater watershed\nprotection plans in order to maintain existing water quality in special\ngroundwater protection areas within federally designated sole source\naquifer areas contained within counties having a population of one\nmillion or more and to further the implementation of nonpoint source\ncontrols for the protection of the potable supply underlying the entire\nrecharge area.\n
