Membership in the fund; registration with the department

§ 160-hh. Membership in the fund; registration with the department. 1.\nThe membership of the fund shall be composed of all central dispatch\nfacilities. Each central dispatch facility shall be required, as a\ncondition of doing business within this state, to pay the department a\ntwo hundred dollar annual fee for the purpose of registering as a member\nof the fund and receiving a certificate of registration. Such sums shall\nbe used by the department for the administration of this article. The\ninitial registration fee shall be due no later than ninety days after\nthe effective date of this article. The department shall have the power\nto assess an additional fee against each registrant in the amount\nnecessary to provide it with sufficient funds to cover its expenses in\nperforming its duties pursuant to this article. The department shall\nprovide the fund with an updated list of registrants on a monthly basis.\n 2. All central dispatch facilities shall be required, as a condition\nof obtaining or retaining their license from the local licensing\nauthority, if any, to (a) be members of the fund; (b) be registered with\nthe department as members of the fund; and (c) submit to the local\nlicensing authority a copy of its certificate of registration as proof\nof such membership and registration.\n 3. Within sixty days of the effective date of this article, the board\nof the fund shall, on the basis of information from trade papers, local\nlicensing authorities and other sources, identify the central dispatch\nfacilities subject to this article and, on a regular and ongoing basis,\nconfirm that all such entities have registered in accordance with\nsubdivision one of this section.\n 4. The fund shall, within seventy-five days of the effective date of\nthis article, provide to its members a copy of the proposed plan of\noperation filed with the department and shall inform its members of\ntheir rights and duties pursuant to this article.\n
