§ 744. Compensation and expenses. The chairman of the board, and the\nother members of the board shall not receive a salary or other\ncompensation, but shall receive necessary expenses as shall have been\nincurred by them in the performance of their duties. Payment of such\nexpenses shall be made on the audit and warrant of the comptroller from\nthe treasury of the state upon certification by the chairman.\n
