§ 163. Justices of supreme court in third and fourth judicial\ndistricts to certify to the department of taxation and finance amount of\nsalaries and expenses of stenographers. Each of the justices of the\nsupreme court assigned to hold special terms in the third and fourth\njudicial districts appointing a stenographer pursuant to subdivision\nfive of section one hundred and fifty-nine of this chapter shall\nannually on the first day of October fix and transmit to the department\nof taxation and finance the amount allowed to such stenographer for\nsalary and expenses as provided by section three hundred sixteen of this\nchapter.\n
