§ 870-o. Amusement device and attraction awareness. The department\nshall develop, establish and implement, in cooperation with the\ncarnival, fair and amusement park safety advisory board established in\nsection eight hundred seventy-n of this article, a program to educate\nand provide awareness to the public on the risks of amusement devices\nand attractions to both adults and children, and how adults can take\nsteps to assure their own safety and the safety of children in their\ncare. The program established pursuant to this section shall provide and\ndisseminate guidelines for safety while riding or using amusement\ndevices or attractions by adults, adolescents and children. Such program\nshall utilize written information provided to the public and the posting\nof conspicuous signs at carnivals, fairs and amusement parks, as\nrequired by law or regulation.\n
