N.Y. MIL Law § 170

§ 170. Duties, privileges and immunities. All duties imposed by the\nmilitary law or other statute of the state or by regulations issued\nhereunder, upon units, commissioned officers, warrant officers and\nenlisted personnel, respectively, of the organized militia are hereby\nimposed upon the units, commands, headquarters, staffs, cadres,\ncommissioned officers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel,\nrespectively, of the New York guard, and all rights, privileges and\nimmunities conferred by the military law or other statute of the state\nor by regulations issued hereunder, upon the units, commissioned\nofficers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel, respectively, of the\nNew York national guard or of the organized militia are hereby conferred\nupon the units, commands, headquarters, staffs, cadres, commissioned\nofficers, warrant officers and enlisted personnel, respectively, of the\nNew York guard when on active duty or active service, except as\notherwise prescribed in this article, including relief from civil or\ncriminal liability for acts done while on such duty or service, rights\nto pay, allowances, pensions and other compensations; expenses and\nsubsistence; arms, uniforms and equipment; provision, maintenance, use\nand control of armories; eligibility to appointment on the military\nstaff of the governor; exemption from civil process and from jury duty;\nright of way; right to wear the uniform and parade with firearms; and\nall other rights, privileges and immunities created by statute or custom\nnot hereinbefore specifically enumerated.\n
