§ 1147-d. Responsibilities of the authority. The authority shall have\nthe responsibility to investigate, analyze and evaluate various options\nfor the collection, treatment and disposal of sewage generated within\nthe district, including, but not limited to the following:\n 1. The purchase, in the name of the authority, of any existing sewer\nsystem or portion thereof deemed necessary by the authority in order to\ncarry out the purposes of the authority;\n 2. The operation of any sewer system or sewage treatment facility and\nany related facilities necessary to carry out the functions and goals of\nthe authority.\n
