Construction, operation and maintenance of industrial hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities

§ 1285-c. Construction, operation and maintenance of industrial\nhazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities. In addition\nto its existing powers, the corporation is hereby empowered to\nconstruct, operate and maintain industrial hazardous waste treatment,\nstorage and disposal facilities, including plants, works,\ninstrumentalities, or parts thereof, and appurtenances thereto for the\ncollection, conveyance, treatment, exchange and disposal of hazardous\nwastes provided such a facility receives a certificate of environmental\nsafety and public necessity as provided in title eleven of article\ntwenty-seven of the environmental conservation law and is located on\nlands in a municipality where such industrial uses are permitted. The\ncorporation may subcontract for the construction or operation of such\nfacility.\n
