§ 2801. Budget reports by authorities. 1. State authorities. Every\nstate authority or commission heretofore or hereafter continued or\ncreated by this chapter or any other chapter of the laws of the state of\nNew York shall submit to the governor, the chair and ranking minority\nmember of the senate finance committee, the chair and ranking minority\nmember of the assembly ways and means committee and the authorities\nbudget office, for their information, annually not more than one hundred\ntwenty days and not less than ninety days before the commencement of its\nfiscal year, in the form submitted to its members or trustees, budget\ninformation on operations and capital construction setting forth the\nestimated receipts and expenditures for the next fiscal year and the\ncurrent fiscal year, and the actual receipts and expenditures for the\nlast completed fiscal year.\n 2. Local authorities. For the local authority fiscal year ending on or\nafter December thirty-first, two thousand seven and annually thereafter,\nevery local authority heretofore or hereafter continued or created by\nthis chapter or any other chapter of the laws of the state of New York\nshall submit to the chief executive officer, the chief fiscal officer,\nthe chairperson of the legislative body of the local government or\ngovernments and the authorities budget office for their information,\nannually not more than ninety days and not less than sixty days before\nthe commencement of its fiscal year, in the form submitted to its\nmembers or trustees, budget information on operations and capital\nconstruction setting forth the estimated receipts and expenditures for\nthe next fiscal year and the current fiscal year, and the actual\nreceipts and expenditures for the last completed fiscal year.\n 3. If any state or local authority has provided the information\nrequired by this section as part of the annual report required by\nsection twenty-eight hundred of this title, such authority may comply\nwith the provisions of this section by reference to such information\nwith any necessary updates.\n
