§ 3401-a. Definitions. As used or referred to in this title, unless a\ndifferent meaning clearly appears from the context:\n 1. "Board" shall mean the board of directors of the corporation as\nestablished by section thirty-four hundred two of this title.\n 2. "Bonds" shall mean the bonds, notes or other evidences of\nindebtedness issued by the corporation pursuant to this title and the\nprovisions of this title relating to bonds and bondholders shall apply\nwith equal force and effect to notes and noteholders, respectively,\nunless the context otherwise clearly requires.\n 3. "Corporation" shall mean the public benefit corporation created by\nsection thirty-four hundred two of this title, known as the Nassau\nHealth Care Corporation.\n 4. "County" shall mean the county of Nassau.\n 5. "Director" shall mean a voting director appointed to the\ncorporation pursuant to section thirty-four hundred two of this title.\n 6. "Health facility" shall mean a building, structure or unit or any\nimprovement to real property, including all necessary and usual\nattendant and related equipment, facilities or fixtures, or any part or\nparts thereof, or any combination or combinations thereof, including,\nbut not limited to, a general hospital, psychiatric hospital, ambulatory\nclinic or center, chronic disease hospital, nursing home, extended-care\nfacility, dispensary or laboratory or any other related facility, or any\ncombination of the foregoing, constructed, acquired or otherwise\nprovided by or for the use of the corporation or the county in providing\nhealth and medical services to the public.\n 7. "Project" shall mean any health facility, facility, improvement,\nbuilding, land, rights in land, equipment, machinery, apparatus,\nfurnishings, property, real or personal, contract right or operation,\nthe planning, development, financing, acquisition, construction,\nreconstruction, rehabilitation, renovation, undertaking or maintenance\nof which is authorized to be undertaken in whole or in part by the\ncorporation pursuant to this title, including but not limited to the\ncorporation's acquisition of facilities or property from the county\npursuant to section thirty-four hundred six of this title.\n
