§ 1303. Equipment testing. Unless the commission otherwise determines\nit to be in the best interests of the state, the commission shall\nutilize the services of an independent testing laboratory that has been\nqualified and approved by the commission pursuant to this article to\nperform the testing of slot machines and other gaming equipment and may\nalso utilize applicable data from the independent testing laboratory, or\nfrom a governmental agency of a state other than New York, authorized to\nregulate slot machines and other gaming equipment.\n
