* § 1980. Applicability. The department or agency of a city, town, or\nvillage, responsible for the enforcement of the commercial building\ncode, industrial building code, or any other law, code or ordinance\ngoverning the occupancy and maintenance of commercial or industrial real\nproperty (hereinafter in this article referred to as "the department")\nmay institute a proceeding in accordance with the provisions of this\narticle for a judgment vesting in the city, town, or village title to a\ncommercial or industrial real property which has been abandoned by the\nowner.\n * NB Repealed June 30, 2028\n
