* § 417. Council to act as the metropolitan planning organization for\npurposes of receipt of federal transportation assistance. Upon adoption\nof a joint resolution by the transportation coordinating committees and\napproval of such resolution by the governor, the council shall be\ndesignated as the metropolitan planning organization for purposes of\nreceipt of federal transportation assistance for the New York portion of\nthe New York, N.Y.--Northeastern New Jersey urbanized area. Upon\nadoption and approval of such resolution the authority of bi-state\nregional planning commission to act as the metropolitan planning\norganization for such area shall cease.\n * NB Expired June 30, 1983\n
