Abolition of the additional office of supervisor of the town of Hempstead

§ 41-a. Abolition of the additional office of supervisor of the town\nof Hempstead. The additional office of supervisor of the town of\nHempstead as created pursuant to the provisions of section forty-one of\nthis chapter is abolished effective at 12:01 a.m. on January first,\nnineteen hundred ninety-six. For purposes of the election law, any\npetition filed or any nomination made in nineteen hundred ninety-five\nfor the office of presiding supervisor of the town of Hempstead shall be\ndeemed filed and or made for the office of supervisor of the town of\nHempstead which shall exist effective 12:01 a.m. on January first,\nnineteen hundred ninety-six, and any petition filed or nomination made\nin nineteen hundred ninety-five for the office of supervisor of the town\nof Hempstead which is abolished hereunder shall be null and void.\n
