§ 121.20. Seal for each department - specifications - use

December 15, 1967 House Bill 164 - 107th General Assembly Each department shall adopt and keep an official seal, which shall consist of the coat of arms of the state, as described in section 5.04 of the Revised Code, within a circle one and one-fourth inches in diameter, and shall be surrounded by the proper name of the department, to which may be added the title of any division, board, or commission within the department, if the director of the department so prescribes. Such seal may be affixed to any writs and authentications of copies of records and official papers, and to such other instruments as are authorized by law or prescribed by the proper authority in any department to be executed. When so authenticated, any copy of a record, official paper, or other instrument shall be received in evidence in any court in lieu of the original.
