§ 501.11. Certification of proceedings

September 30, 2025 House Bill 96 - 136th General Assembly When the successful bidder at the sale provided in this chapter makes payment to the school district selling the land, the school district shall certify receipt of such payment to the department of administrative services. Following the payment to the school district, the department of administrative services shall prepare a deed, conveying such lands in fee simple to the successful bidder, and deliver it to the governor, together with a certification signed by the director of administrative services that all papers required by law have been properly filed, that the proceedings are according to law, and that the purchase money is fully paid. When signed by the governor, countersigned by the secretary of state, and sealed with the great seal of the state, such deed shall be returned to the department of administrative services, which shall deliver it to the grantee.
