October 3, 2023 House Bill 33 - 135th General Assembly After adopting by a unanimous vote a resolution declaring a real and present emergency in connection with the administration of township services or the execution of duties assigned by law to any officer of a township, the board of township trustees may, by resolution, enter into a contract, without bidding or advertising, for the purchase of services, materials, equipment, or supplies needed to meet the emergency if the estimated cost of the contract is less than the amount specified in section 9.17 of the Revised Code. During the period of the emergency declared by Executive Order 2020-01D, issued on March 9, 2020, the board of township trustees may, by resolution, enter into a contract, without bidding or advertising, for the purchase of personal protective equipment needed to meet the emergency, regardless of the estimated cost of the contract. "Personal protective equipment" means equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards that cause workplace injuries and illnesses. Last updated July 31, 2023 at 4:52 PM
