Ohio Rev. Code § 505.15

December 8, 1988 House Bill 661 - 117th General Assembly (A) As used in this section, "airport," "landing field," and "air navigation facility" have the same meanings as in section 4561.01 of the Revised Code. (B) The board of township trustees of a township which is composed in whole or in part of islands may acquire by purchase, gift, devise, bequest, lease, condemnation proceedings, or otherwise, real or personal property to establish, construct, enlarge, improve, equip, maintain, and operate airports, landing fields, or other air navigation facilities, and may acquire by purchase, gift, devise, lease, or condemnation proceedings rights-of-way for connections with highways and waterways. The township may provide for the making of necessary surveys, appraisals, and examinations preliminary to the acquisition or construction of any airport, landing field, or air navigation facility, and may improve and equip the facilities with necessary and appropriate structures. (C) For the purpose of acquiring, establishing, constructing, improving, equipping, maintaining, or operating, or any combination of the foregoing, an airport, landing field, or other air navigation facility, the board of township trustees may levy a tax upon all taxable property in the township in the manner provided by section 5705.19 of the Revised Code.
