Oklahoma Statutes - Title 10A. Children and Juvenile Code Page 8

A. Sections 1-1-101 through 1-9-122 of this title shall be

known and may be cited as the "Oklahoma Children's Code".

B. All statutes hereinafter enacted and codified in this title

shall be considered and deemed part of the Oklahoma Children's Code.

C. Article, chapter, and part captions are part of the Oklahoma

Children's Code, but shall not be deemed to govern, limit or in any

manner affect the scope, meaning or intent of the provisions of any

chapter or part of this Code.

D. The provisions of this article shall not apply to adoption

proceedings and actions to terminate parental rights which do not

involve a petition for deprived status of the child. Such

proceedings and actions shall be governed by the Oklahoma Adoption

Code.
