Issuing bonds - Election

To defray the cost of procuring waterworks, and the election

provided in this section, the municipal governing body may provide

for the issuance of bonds of the municipality. Before any bonds may

be issued, the municipal governing body shall submit the question of

issuing the bonds to the registered voters of the municipality at

any general election or special election called by them for that

purpose. Notice of the election shall be given in the manner

provided by law for municipal elections; and the election shall be

conducted in all respects as other municipal elections.
